Annual report: 2015-2016
2015-16 brought numerous challenges but once again they have been faced and overcome. It was never going to be an easy ride when first embarking upon, setting up and building a charity from scratch those 23 years ago and given the topics the charity specialises in – child abuse, its impact and subsequent trauma, drug/alcohol misuse or self-injury – challenge has always been considered the norm here. My confidence however in the trustees and staff alike in being able to consolidate and build upon solid foundations remains very high. The are gifted with the same characteristics demonstrated daily by those who come through our doors seeking help with their plight: belief, resilience, courage, tenacity, strength and commitment. This report will confirm just how effective such attributes can be for staff members, trustees and service users alike.
