Psychology student Emily Shaw has been working alongside Dr Mike Pierce at Southmead Project to gain experience of clinical addiction for her studies. During her time with the charity, she has seen clearly the difficulties in securing proper funding to carry out our work. Our waiting list continues to grow as adult survivors of child abuse approach us seeking help.
We were delighted when Emily announced that she would run the Simplyhealth Great Bristol 10K to raise money for Southmead Project. She has set a target of £200 and is already halfway there.
We are hugely grateful to you, Emily, for your passion and commitment – and for taking on 10K when you “actually hate running”!
Please help Emily smash her target by visiting www.justgiving.com/fundraising/emily-shaw-10k. We couldn’t put it better than Emily when she says that your donations “will contribute to changing someone’s life for the better”.See article >
