History / His Story

The Southmead Project was founded in 1994 by Mike Peirce, MBE. He himself is a survivor of abuse and addiction, and has fought tirelessly to raise awareness of how people that have survived abuse may develop an addiction to drugs or alcohol as a way of coping with their trauma.

Our work supports adults of all genders who have experienced abuse, as well as providing specific support for people with an addiction to drugs or alcohol.

We are based in Southmead in North Bristol and can support adult from all over Bristol and its neighbouring areas.
